Mayor’s Charity Coffee Morning Raises £563.86

The Assembly Room in Kendal Town Hall was filled to capacity and a marvellous amount of £563.86 was raised.   This money will be shared between The Mayor of Kendal (2016-17), Cllr Stephen Coleman’s two charities which are Manna House and Christians against Poverty.

Morrisons were kind enough once again to donate all the mince pies.  The Guiding movement manned an appetising cake stall. Space 2 Create brought their craft stall with a wonderful selection of handmade items. The raffle had amazing 42 prizes donated.

Kendal Concert Band gave a wonderful medley of Christmas cheer with a varied mix of popular Christmas songs.  The rousing applause could be heard throughout the Town Hall.

The Tokari School of Dance and all ages performed a sequence of dance routines which delighted the audience.
