Heritage Talks in the Mayors Parlour

The Mayors Parlour in Kendal Town Hall distinguishes Kendal from most other Parish Councils in Cumbria. The Parlour is used for Committee meetings and receiving guests and dignitaries during civic events, its also home to exceptional historical items that signify Kendal’s rich heritage.

Simon Unsworth, the Mayors Attendant, will be opening the Mayor’s Parlour and leading a heritage talk on the following days:

  • October 5th 6.30pm – 8.30pm
  • October 14th 10am – 12 noon
  • October 17th 2pm – 4pm

The talk includes an overview of the history of Kendal and an opportunity to see the town’s regalia and works of art. This BBC audio slide show provides a glimpse of what to expect.
