Kendal’s Christmas Switch On – 2025

The countdown is on – only two weeks to go until Kendal’s Christmas Switch On lights up the town!

Friday 28th November

5pm – 7:30pm

Kendal Town Centre

This year’s event is packed with festive fun, celebration and entertainment for all the family.

Here’s what’s not to miss:

• Switch on at 5:30pm
• Performances from Drum Nation, Dance Attik, Amabile Choirs and local musician Matt Hayton.
• Christmas Carols by Kendal Concert Band.
• Late opening from Kendal Farmers Market.
• Children’s entertainment – Santa, Ragtag Arts interactive play scrappy van and fairground ride.
• Late opening from café’s and shops.
• Mulled wine from Kendal Rinteln Association

There will also be late car park opening at South Lakeland House Car Park, curtesy of Westmorland and Furness Council.

Want to keep the festive feeling going? Kendal BID will be running a Christmas Market on Sunday 3oth November.

Head there between 10am – 4pm, for another chance to meet Santa and to shop food, drink and locally made crafts.
