Nominations Now Open for the 2025-2026 Wainwright Achievement Award

Kendal Town Council is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the annual Wainwright Achievement Award, an honour recognising exceptional contributions to the town and its community.

The Award is presented each year to an individual, group, club, association, society, or other local organisation that has made a significant positive impact on Kendal. This may include enhancing the town’s reputation, improving the wellbeing of its residents, or delivering meaningful community benefit.

The winner will receive £ 250 and be invited to attend the Mayor Making Ceremony in May 2026, celebrating their contribution and the election of the new Mayor of Kendal.

Please note that self-nomination is not expected and political activities or organisations are excluded.
