New website launched to support the recommendations of Kendal’s Climate Change Citizens Jury

Thanks to support from South Lakeland District Council, Kendal Town Council have launched a new website, www.zerocarbonkendal.org.uk, to celebrate the people and organisations within Kendal who are actively reducing their carbon.

The website aims to provides practical examples, links and advice about retrofitting, installing solar and switching to electric cars and highlights various lifestyle changes that help to reduce carbon.

The Council aim to continue updating the site with more examples as more and more residents adopt low or zero carbon choices.

Following the success of the Kendal Climate Change Jury, the organisations best placed to action the 27 recommendations of the Jury meet as a ‘Recommendations Panel’ to track progress and support action. The panel met in mid January and the minutes are available here.
